Before I get started, this is not an April Fools joke. According to disneyinfo.net (this is dated February), Audrey will be staring in a pilot for Nickelodeon called Bad Fairy which is directed by one of the directors of So Random. Here's a link:

http://disneyinfonet.com/2012/02/06/audrey-whitby-working-on-a-new-pilot-bad-fairy-starringaudreyw/

Also, I was checking IMDB and it also lists her as one of the leads for a Disney Channel pilot called "Dog With a Blog". I know IMDB isn't always reliable, but it sounds legit. In any case, I'm sure one of these are bound to be picked up.

p/a,

If true, I predicted this would happen. I said it a few times that if DC didn't do something with Audrey Nickelodeon probably would. Nick is stealing our girls. First it was Samantha Boscarino now Audrey . . . who's next? Are they going to make Debby an offer she can't refuse? :x

Well, at least Audrey's big sis Maddy still works for Radio Disney.

If I were to guess I'd say that Nick wasn't responsible for the casting, but Eric Dean Seaton. He's worked on So Random and is involved with this pilot. He also directed the episode of A&A she was in if I'm not mistaken.

They're not "property" to be stolen.

And whats wrong with the girls choosing to go to Nick? Samantha is great in her new show.

Oh, I know him. He's worked on a lot of DC shows including GLC, SWAC, and even a couple WOWP. I very briefly met him once.

That explains it. He's also involved with How to Rock according to his site.

Greg,

Yes, they are "property", when they are under contract with a studio. Samantha is great in HTR and although I also like to think of it as "her" show we must remember that it's actually Cymphonique's show and Sam is riding shotgun. If DC had given Sam her own show then she wouldn't had to defect to Nickelodeon. DC could have easily given Sam the role of "Ally" in A&A. She sings pretty well and she most DEFINITELY has the legs to wear all those short skirts that "Ally" does. Laura Marano could have been cast as "Molly" in HTR and played second fiddle to Cymphonique.

I'm sorry but in my opinion Samantha Boscarino is a star who got ripped off. DC should have done something with her. I feel the same way about Alyson Stoner. She's an INCREDIBLE dancer and DC should have found a way to incorporate her talents into a show. She could have been "CeCe" and "Rocky's" dance instructor in SIU or something like that. Oh and while I'm at it when the HECK is DC finally going to let Bridgit release an album? Now there's another incredible talent that is going to waste singing silly songs for tree huggers and DCOM's.

But seriously, I get what you're saying. But if Disney isn't smart enough to use their talent, you can't blame the talent for taking other opportunities. And you can't blame Nick for offering neglected actors work either. If Disney drops the ball, it's all on them.

Well, that's sometimes just how it goes. But look at it this way, she went from a bit part in a throwaway teen movie, to a recurring role on a Disney show, to second credited on a Nick show. That's pretty damn good and a lot more than most. If she keeps this up she could have a full career as a character actor or go on to a lead role in a network show. She's only 17 afterall, she's got plenty of time.

Greg,

I totally agree with you, especially on DC's inability to utilize talent when it's right in front of their eyes. If I were in their shoes and Nick made me an offer I'd jump at the chance as well. Let's hope that Samantha's career continues for a long time. I think she's talented and very cute too! :D

I 100% agree with everything that you just said. DC has a nasty habit of sitting on actresses when they have nothing for them. They must think that they would be crazy to want to walk away from DC. Alyson Stoner is a big time triple-threat, with looks too, and DC has just sat their twiddling their thumbs while Alyson has nothing to do. I am shocked Alyson hasn't jumped ship. Bridgit is on a less than stellar show that does nothing for her. How many times has she sang on GLC? I think I can count it on one hand. Its not like the fans don't know she can sing, since she sang in one of the company's biggest movies ever. Sometimes the heads over at DC make me wanna run my head into a wall.

pwfan,

Shane Harper who plays "Spencer" on GLC had more success with his music because of the show than Bridgit did and that's REALLY sad because Bridgit is the star. :? Not that I'm slamming Shane's music in any way, in fact I actually think he's very talented. "One Step Closer" is a very good song. I'm just saying GLC is Bridgit's vehicle so it's kind of pathetic that a cast member with only a recurring role has more success with music than Bridgit does. That's just not right.
