I was just on tvguide.com planning my television viewing for the evening. Here's what is on DC during prime time tonight:

8:00 PM "Good Luck Charlie" (re-run) 69 people watching

8:30 PM "Shake it Up" (re-run) 110 people watching

9:00 PM "The Suite Life Movie" (re-run) 246 people watching!

Now obviously, more people will be watching these shows, these number only reflect those people who clicked the "Ill watch" link next to the show but these stats tell an interesting story. As many times as the SLOD movie has been re-run already it is still very popular. As a point of comparison there is a brand new episode of "Storage Wars", a reality show about a self-storage facilty and it's only getting 232 people watching.

I think this says a lot about SLOD and how so many people still like the show and weren't ready for it to end. I count myself among them.

I wasn't ready for it to end, but then I haven't been ready for several shows to end. The 4-season limit was reached, so it made sense that it ended when it did. Anyway, I can't even fathom the thought of watching that movie again. The only thing that was mildly entertaining to me was the Cody/Bailey storyline. The rest of the movie was surprisingly boring to me.

Luis,

SLOD's run was only 3 seasons and 71 episodes. Even though I hate to admit this I guess they had no choice but to end it because the boys were done with high school. If you remember their first year of high school was when they were living at the Tipton Hotel in the first series so SLOD was doomed from the start to be a maximum of only 3 seasons.

I actually just got done watching the SLOD movie again, mostly for Debby of course but it's nice to see the whole gang together again. Debby looks stunning in that movie. She doesn't wear anything sexy until that dress at the end but there are some nice close ups of her very beautiful face. *sigh* :D

I thought that the movie didn't do the show justice. I enjoyed series more than the movie.

pwfan,

I agee with you. The story was weak and there was way too much fantasy involved. They should have included more of the main gang in the movie rather than inventing all of these new characters. Although she's not a favorite of mine "Maya" probably should have been in the movie and "London", "Bailey" and "Woody" should have played larger parts. I also would have made the location much more exotic than the Pacific North West. They could have picked one of those places in Mexico that cruise ships always stop at like Cabo San Lucas or Puerto Vallarta. That would have also doubled as an excuse to put "Bailey" in a bathing suit. ;)

That's why they picked the Pacific Northwest, to AVOID putting Debby in a bathing suit. It almost seemed like they rushed the movie since they knew that the series end was right around the corner.

3 seasons, really? Wasn't "Breakup in Paris" the end of season 2? So when Bailey and Cody get back together it's basically the end of the series already?

"The Suite Life ..." it's a great show. In fact, you can tell from has 6 seasons ("...of Zack & Cody "and" ... on Deck "), 158 episodes (160 in Poland), four special stages, three crossovers (" That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana", " Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana", " Weasels on Deck ") and of course a film " The Suite Life Movie. " :)

This is a 6-year history, this is probably one of the only such show (of course this type of show) in the world.

Luis,

You are correct sir. Pretty much as soon as "Cody" and "Bailey" got back together the series ended. They got back together in "Twister Part 3" and after that came "Snakes On A Boat", "Prom Night" and finally "Graduation". I know it seemed longer because DC dragged the end of the series out over several months.

Here's a link to my favorite SLOD episode guide. It's on wikipedia.

Yeah, they were only back together for a few episodes, but I think that DC did it right. They made them getting back together special and capped everything off very nicely.
