Debby would look good in a Porshe, but she doesn't strike me as someone who loves sports cars...they should buy her a house:D)

Hi Brody,

Debs drives a Mustang so she likes sports cars but her choice says to me that she doesn't know anything about quality. American cars are pieces of crap, especially American sports cars like the Mustang and the Corvette. If DC were to get her a Porsche they would probably go for one of the lower end models so they would be talking about 50K for a Boxster or 60K for a Cayman. Ashley Tisdale drove a black Boxster S for a while. The basic Porsche 911's without any options are now pushing 80K and realistically you can't one out of the showroom for less than 100K. Porsche options are WICKED expensive! Just selecting a different colored stitching on the seats is $1000. Want different colored stitching on the dashboard too? Break out another $1000! Want carbon ceramic brakes? That will set you back over 8000! As you can see it adds up quickly.

As pricey as a Porsche may be, a decent house in SoCal in a good neighborhood would set Disney back at least 500K.

ahhh..I cannot believe you!!!

The Corvette and Challenger are AMAZING cars!!!!

I would pick a Ford/Dodge/GM car ANYDAY over the other "jap scrap" and Other foreign cars!

I will only buy American cars. The dodge challenger is one of the coolest looking and best sports cars I have ever seen!

But you do make a point about the (huge)price difference between a high end car and nice house.

Brody, Brody, Brody . . . *facepalm*

Yesterday you said you liked guns but admitted that you don't know that much about them. I'm afraid this appears to be the case with cars too. Both the Europeans and Japanese are so far ahead of us. It isn't even close. I realize you are only 16 so this may difficult to do because the sales guys probably won't take you seriously but if you get the chance go sit in a Corvette or Challenger. Have a look at the materials used, push some buttons on the dash (even if the car is off) feel the carpeting, the headliner. IT'S ALL CHEAP PLASTIC! Now go sit in a Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Jaguar or even the better quality Japanese brands such as Lexus or Acura. My friend, there is NO COMPARISON.

Almost any new car will work properly and hold up well for 2-3 years with proper care but when it comes to going the distance the Europeans and Japanese win hands down and that's because of the higher quality materials they use. Did you know that over 75% of ALL Porsche's ever produced (they've been in business since the mid 1950's) are still in existence. That is because of their exceptional build quality.

Getting back to guns the U.S. can build just as good or (in many cases) BETTER guns than Europe and Japan can ever hope to do. This is why we've won almost every single war we've ever entered but when it comes to cars the Europeans and Japanese kick our Buttowski's.

:O That's borderline treason if you ask me. :P  I believe the reverse. As much as I love European languages and culture, I would never buy foreign when I could buy American. God Bless America.

ok,I will amend my earlier statement cause you do make a good point.

I still refuse to buy toyotas or anything owned by them(that company).they have had some big problems and I will not support(buy) Japanese/Chinese made cars.

as far as brands like Porshe,BMW,Ferrari and etc. I guess i would aggree that they are probably better than most american cars. I want to ONLY support American cars/companies and therefore would probably choose an american car over a foreign one.

that may sound silly, but I just like american cars better:D

Gotta agree with Luis there as well:)

as far as guns go..OF COURSE WE CAN KICK THEIR RUMPS IN WAR!! WE ARE AMERICA!!!

yeah!

I have said I would rather buy an american car that had a "lesser"warranty(say like a 5 yr warranty)..than buying a foreign car that had like a 10 year warranty or something...cause it's american!

The fact that I want a QUALITY vehicle that doesn't require it (or me) to waste days sitting in the repair shop or that I don't want a vehicle that will take a HUGE hit in resale value doesn't make me any less patriotic than you people. Besides, I'm a member of the NRA, you can't get much more patriotic than that.

That sounds exactly like a foreign car to me. Pretty much every time I've ever heard of anyone ever owning a foreign car, their car spends a lot of time in the shop because it requires sophisticated parts that cannot just be replaced with their more easily-acquired American counterparts. I don't think anyone needs much more "quality" than a Dodge Viper anyway.
